Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

Scope (“Scope”, “we”, “us”, or “the app”) is a streaming dashboard, operated by an independent developer, that helps a streamer monitor and control their own broadcasts across Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used and stored, and the choices you have. Scope is designed for you to manage your own channels; we do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to people who connect their streaming accounts to Scope and use the app to view and manage their own channels.

2. Accounts you connect

You sign in to Scope using the official OAuth login of each platform you choose to connect (Twitch, YouTube/Google, and/or Kick). Scope never sees or stores your platform passwords. When you connect an account, the platform issues Scope an access token (and refresh token) that lets the app act on your behalf, only within the permissions you grant.

3. Data we access and why

Depending on which accounts you connect, Scope may access:

DataPurpose
Channel identity (display name, channel ID, avatar)Identify the connected account and show it in the app.
Live chat messagesDisplay your channel’s live chat in real time.
Send / moderate chat (send messages, delete messages, ban or time out users, chat settings)Let you participate in and moderate your own chat from the app.
Live broadcast & viewer informationShow whether you’re live and how many people are watching.
Stream metadata (title, category/game)Let you read and update your stream’s title and category.
Events (follows, subscriptions, tips, raids, etc.)Display alerts and activity for your channel.
OBS & BELABOX connection dataRelay encoder/scene status when you pair those tools.

Scope only requests the permissions needed for these features, and only acts on the channels you have connected.

4. YouTube API Services

Scope uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube-connected features of Scope, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your use of data obtained through the YouTube API is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Specifically, with your authorization Scope uses the youtube.force-ssl scope to:

Revoking access. You can revoke Scope’s access to your Google/YouTube account at any time via Google’s security settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can also disconnect any platform from within the app.

Scope’s use of information received from YouTube APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through the YouTube API is used solely to provide the features described above; it is not transferred to third parties except as required to operate the service or by law, is not used for advertising, and is not used to build profiles for unrelated purposes.

5. How your data is stored

Scope’s backend runs on a private, access-controlled server. Access tokens and the limited account information needed to run the app are stored there. Live chat is processed in real time to display it in the app and is not retained as a long-term archive. Viewer-count samples are stored so the app can show your stream history over time. All communication between the app, our server, and the platform APIs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

6. How we share data

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. Your data is exchanged only with the platform APIs you connect (Twitch, YouTube/Google, Kick) in order to provide the app’s features, and may be disclosed if required by law.

7. Data retention & deletion

Your stored tokens and account data are kept while your account is connected. When you disconnect a platform or stop using Scope, the associated tokens are removed and become invalid. To request deletion of your data, revoke access (see above) and contact us at support@scopelive.app; we will delete the data we hold for your account.

8. Children

Scope is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
